Richard given top award at AIPP presentations

Tuesday 8th June, 2010

At the 2010 Australian Professional Photography Awards dinner held at Crown Casino in Melbourne, Richard was awarded the highest honour available from the Institute, A Fellow of the Australian Institute of Professional Photography. The award recognizes the outstanding value of an individual's achievement as well as a history of service to the Institute, the photographic industry and society.

During the announcement Richard's High Country calendar was mentioned, which also won a printing award earlier this year as well as Richard's contribution to large format black and white photography, his published articles, teaching through his workshops program and annual judging at the AIPP awards.

A standing ovation of several hundred participants almost rendered Richard speechless but not before thanking his sponsor Kodak for their ongoing support and his family who have endured his 'lifelong obsession'.
